It was simply a beautiful day for tennis.  At Salisbury Country Club, 100 junior players took to the club's 15 courts on Saturday, July 21st for week 7 of the summer junior tennis circuit.

With so many courts available on premises, Scott Steinour credited an "aggressive schedule" for finishing the one day event by dinnertime.

The day was cooler than usual, and the snow cone machine fully operational (the green lips proved it) -- but even a short wait for the next round can be tough for a kid...............

Turner Willet attends Richmond Montessori School and trains at Westwood Club.  He was the Boys 14s Champion at the RTA McDonald's L6 last week at Woodlake.


 

 

Miles Hilliard (left) attends Pocahontas MS and trains at Wellesley.  Tommy Barlow is in the 8th grade at Pocahontas and trains at the Colonies.

Meredith Armstrong (left) played on the Collegiate JV team last year and hopes to make varsity this Fall.  She trains at Westwood and Avalon.  Mallory Blackman also played on the Collegiate JV.  She trains at Avalon and Raintree.

 

 

 

Heather Boys (left) and Laura Crouch.  Heather is a member of Bon Air Recreation Center and Robious.  She attends Richmond Christian and started playing tennis about a month ago.
